So let’s jump into Part 7- I’ve had time working on my lunch break and just chipping away when I have 15-30 minutes and I’ve made good headway! You’ll be happy to know- that I am not just sitting about! I have to make a ton of pants! Because of the pants situation I won’t be able to full time hammer the Hulk as much as I want- but we just keep chipping away!
A few days of lunch time car sewing!
And by the weekend- I had managed to finish up the edging on the belt- front and back and now we dig into the fun part of the crystals to make the whole belt pop.
This is one of my favorite things to look at- seriously- it’s just SO pretty:
Now that we are done- we will move on to the center section and I will plan all the beading and then fringe/swags in green and gold. Which I’m very much looking forward to all of that- I admit it- I’m a weirdo.
If you’re doing this kind of beading my recommendation is to get a good show, or book on tape and just set it up and work when you can- it’s easy to set up and doesn’t require a lot- so you can do it in your car and you’d be surprised with how much you can get done in a 20 minute time period.
The other tip for you is make sure you tie off every inch or so. That way if a thread breaks you only lose a small section rather than a whole edge!
And that’s where I’ll leave you for now! Stay tuned for more updates and a wrap up of the Raven’s Night: Momento Mori show!
Till next time fearless costumers!
